Cast Your Cares

Perhaps, you’re enduring a battle you thought you’d never face. Perhaps, you’re ill and fighting to regain your health. You may have suffered emotional grief that rips your heart to shreds. Wherever you are right now, God never leaves you or forsakes you. He is with you. He loves you.

God’s very nature is love (1 John 4:8). He is good. He didn’t cause your torment and pain. The enemy is the one who kills, steals, and destroys. Fear torments, and the enemy is the one who torments. Christ came so you could have abundant life (John 10:10). When you believe in your heart that God loves you, fear doesn’t overwhelm you. His perfect love for you has the power to cast out any fear (1 John 4:18).

You’re tired, and in your discouragement and pain may have even questioned God’s love for you. God, who gave His own Son to die for you, wants you to cast your cares upon Him and let Him fight what you cannot fight. He is able to save and deliver and heal.

Don’t hold on to your doubt and fear—your pain and circumstances—the grief that never ends. Cast all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Nothing can separate you from the love God has for you (Romans 8:39). Choose to trust Him. He fights your battle. He regains your health. He heals your heart. We are human and will fail. But God never fails in His love for you. Just believe Him in your heart.

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7, NKJV).

Cast your cares upon Him.
