You Were Healed

 

He sent out his word and healed them, snatching them from the door of death.

—Psalm 107:20 (NLT)

 

 

Do you believe that you’re a healed child of your Abba Father? God sent His Word to heal you. But you believe healing first in your mind and heart before you receive it.

 

Your heart determines the course of your life. What you believe is what you receive. If you believe something that is different from what the Word says, then that is what you will receive. If you want to receive what God promises you, know and believe what the Word reveals. 

 

“My child, pay attention to what I say. Listen carefully to my words. Don’t lose sight of them. Let them penetrate deep into your heart, for they bring life to those who find them, and healing to their whole body. Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life” Proverbs 4:20-23, NLT).

 

“Pay attention and listen carefully to what I say in my Word,” God says. “If you let my words pierce your heart, you shall discover my complete wholeness of life and healing for your body.”

                                               

The Word of God is Truth. These verses are for you! 

 

In the New King James Version, Proverbs 4:23 reads, “Keep your heart with all diligence for out of it spring the issues of life.”

 

Be careful what influences you. What you believe in your heart will determine what happens to you. When you put the promises of God in your heart, you believe them. When you put in your heart what the world says is truth—that you will never be well—then that is what you believe. Believe you are sick, and you will be sick. Believe in God’s promise of health, and one day you will experience health. Out of your heart spring the issues of life you will experience—either death or life—blessing or curse. 

 

You have to be careful what you put in your mind and heart. What you read, see or listen to—words you hear—end up filling your mind and becoming what you believe. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17). You want the promises of God to be real in your life? Put those in your heart. The Word builds your faith. 

 

Think about the good things of God in the Word that build your faith (Philippians 4:8). Don’t be conformed to things that are contrary to what the Word says about you. Allow God’s Truth to transform your thinking until what you believe in the depths of your heart is what His Word promises (Romans 12:2). Rebuke the enemy, the author of sickness, who lies to you that you will always be sick. He only comes to steal, kill, and destroy the abundant life Christ died to give you (John 10:10). Believe God, the author of life. One day you will believe and receive. 

 

“Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, even as your soul is well” (3 John 3:2, MEV).

 

God wants good health for all His children. When your soul—your mind—believes His Truth, your soul is well. His fullness is alive in you. And what do you receive? The benefits of His Truth—the promise of health Jesus gave His very life for you to own.

 

“Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed’ (1 Peter 2:24, NKJV). He died for your sin so you might live for righteousness. He died for your sickness so you might live in health. By the wounds He took for you, you were healed the moment He paid the debt you could never pay.

 

Read the Word. Apply your mustard seed of faith, and choose to believe it over anything else you hear or are told. Allow the Word to transform your mind and heart. And one day, your whole perspective will change. You will see with His eyes, hear with His ears, and understand with His mind that you were healed the moment you were saved.
