Teach Me New

Guide me in your truth, and teach me, my God, my Savior. I trust you all day long.

—Psalm 25:5 (NCV)

If I dread this day, Lord, then I have no hope for something more. But if I regard the day as your gift, I see your day as my promise for greater things. And then you grace me with the capacity to receive beyond my human understanding.

I trust you, Lord, all day long. In all things—in all circumstances—whether good or hard, I trust you. You are my Rock. I will not fear or lose my peace. I know you will reveal your best if I believe in your best.

Holy Spirit, you guide me into all Truth. Your Word is Truth. Teach me your revelation of grace and love beyond what I already believe. Take me today past traditions that have become Truth to me. Guide me to where I have never had the opportunity to receive from you.

“For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened” (Matthew 7:8, NLT).

You Were Healed

There is nothing you can do to get God to save you. You are saved by God’s grace through childlike faith. And you can’t do anything to get healed either. You receive healing by God’s grace just as you receive eternal life—by faith.

“Bless the Lord, O my soul. And all that is within me bless His holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul. And forget not all His benefits: who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies” (Psalm 103:1-4, NKJV).

In these verses, David praises God for His grace. He encourages us to remember God’s benefits. But so many Christians live far below the benefits that God makes available. We should never forget that we are forgiven of all our sins—that God has given complete forgiveness to every believer. David also reminds us that not only are we forgiven but that we are also healed of all our diseases. Just as it is God’s will for us to be forgiven, it is also God’s will for us to have good health. God wills us to receive His love and grace for healing just as He wills us to receive His love and grace for the forgiveness of sin.

“Who himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed” (Peter 2:24, NKJV).

Jesus took all your sins and diseases to the cross over 2000 years ago. Notice the verb “were” in 1 Peter 2:24 in the NKJV. It indicates that healing is already accomplished. By Jesus’ stripes, you are now healed. Yet, that doesn’t mean you won’t experience sickness in your physical body. In the realm of God’s Truth, you are healed, but sickness will still come against you. You have God’s righteous power to fight against sickness just as you have His righteous power to resist sin. Understanding the grace of God helps you to fight and resist sickness from a mindset of victory instead of defeat.

Even after you have asked Jesus into your heart, you are still faced with sin and sickness. If you commit a sin, that is not the new nature God has given you. You can repent and be dead to that sin and alive in Christ. You can live righteously by the grace of God. In the same way, you can be dead to sickness and alive to healing. Being dead to sin doesn’t mean that it is impossible for you to sin. And being dead to sickness doesn’t mean you never get sick. If you can resist sin, you can also fight sickness by the power of God. By the same Cross—by the same power—by the same grace of God that forgave you, you can receive the healing Jesus died to give you.

Healing begins in your mind. It rises from what you believe. If you can believe for God’s forgiveness, you can have faith for His healing. “Daughter, your faith has made you well,” Jesus told the woman weak from the loss of blood for many years. “Go in peace,” He said, “and be healed of your affliction” (Mark 5:34, NKJV).

Dare to believe in the Truth of God’s Word. “By His stripes, you were healed” (1 Peter 2:24, NKJV).

Free Indeed

So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.  And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.

—Romans 8:1-2 (NLT)

Has the grace of Jesus transformed your mind to the place where you thoroughly grasp you are debt-free? When you first repented of your sins and accepted Him into your heart, you received His completed work of grace. You are thoroughly and forever forgiven. No one lives a perfect life. You will make mistakes, but you do not need to live in condemnation. You can be repentant without crippling feelings of guilt and shame.

The grace of Jesus has freed you, and you can live in that freedom. When you know who you are in Christ, that knowledge changes your perspective. You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. You had none of your own, but because of His love and mercy, Jesus gave you His. You do not need to prove you have His forgiveness! There is no penance you have to perform. There is no perfection you have to maintain. You owe nothing because of His grace. There is no greater love than His—that He would give His life for you. No other love sets you free from the requirements of the law, which demanded you live in perfection. That law was never able to save you from your sin. Only Jesus could meet those requirements so you could be free.

“The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature,” Paul writes. “So God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body, God declared an end to sin's control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins. He did this so that the just requirement of the law would be fully satisfied for us, who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit” (Romans 8:3-4, NLT).

Jesus did what the law could never accomplish! Through His sacrifice for us on Calvary, Jesus declared that sin no longer has control. He fully satisfied the requirement of the law because we were unable to meet it. Where we once were weak, He gives strength by the power of His Spirit to follow Him. We have been made righteous by His saving grace.

The grace of Jesus completed its work on Calvary. Sin and death were utterly defeated. The prerequisites of the law were completely satisfied. You allow Him to transform the way you see yourself so that you will understand what it means to be debt-free.

You don't have to live in fear of not being good enough. You are forgiven! There is no guilt or condemnation you have to wear to prove it. When He sets you free, you are free indeed!

Life and Healing to Me

Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me. He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases.

—Psalm 103:1-3 (NLT)

With all my heart—with all that is within me, I praise you, Lord! With everything that I am—with every breath I take, I praise your holy name! May I never forget the good things you do for me! You forgive all my sins, and you heal all my diseases.

This Scripture is your Word, God, and it is Truth. You never say anything that is not real. You see promises that my physical eyes cannot see. You speak abundant life when circumstances try to tell me something else. Faith is the evidence of what I hope for—the proof of what I haven't experienced or seen. Faith rises when I believe beyond my natural mind. Your promises are Truth, and you, my loving Abba Father, never lie.

Oh, Jesus, you never condemn me! You save me entirely from sin's condemnation. By your sacrifice for my sins, I receive all of your forgiveness. I can't live perfectly, but you save me from my imperfection. You love me with a grace that asks me only to receive it.

Jesus, your life given for mine was not a partial work. You restored me completely. By the wounds you suffered for me, I also receive your healing. Illness is not my life. The gift of your grace heals me. I walk in newness of life—not only forgiven of all my sins but also healed of all my diseases.

I received your salvation by faith, and over time I grew spiritually. I receive your healing by faith, and over time I am healed. Jesus, open me to your Word. Let me receive your Truth. Your Words are life and healing to me.

This Christmas

This year is almost over, and the world awaits 2021with hope. The real promise of hope for the world is found in Jesus Christ. He does not condemn but saves us. In one miraculous moment, Jesus came into our world as an innocent child. He grew in God's wisdom and understanding. Completely human yet also completely God, He understood our pain and suffering. He knew the gift of His life was the only way to pay the debt of sin we could never pay. Jesus gave His life for you and for me without hesitation. I stand in awe of His grace and incredible gift of righteousness. He rose to live again and fills me with new life! His righteousness frees me from the weight of sin and condemnation. Jesus is my Christmas promise that my old sinful nature is gone, and I am a new person—reborn by His grace

Lord Jesus, you had no sin, but with the greatest love, took my sin to the Cross and died for me. My mind yearns to fathom the depths of the gift of your life for mine. My heart rejoices in its promise! You paid my debt so I might be free from the pain of suffering, illness, guilt, and shame. I praise you for your continued peace and joy amid this year’s turmoil. Thank you for your revelations of grace I discover in your Word—for this journey in life that continually fulfills me. You are my peace each day and my joy in each moment. Jesus, when you cried out, “it is finished,” everything changed. Your gift of grace became real to all who would receive it.

My friend, I pray you would allow His love and grace to fill your heart this Christmas! “Now all glory to God, who is able to keep you from falling away and will bring you with great joy into his glorious presence without a single fault. All glory to him who alone is God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord. All glory, majesty, power, and authority are his before all time, and in the present, and beyond all time! Amen” (Jude 1:24-25, NLT)!

Your Answer

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.

—Psalm 34:18 (NLT)

This past year has been a time of great loss. Overwhelming numbers have died. Others have faced times of sickness that took them by surprise. Many have lost businesses and livelihood. Throughout all of this, one thing has remained and will always remain true. Immanuel is with us. And not only with us. He lives in those who believe.

Christmas is a time when the absence of those we have had in our lives leaves a void and loss is much greater. This verse in Psalm 34 reminds us that we are never alone. We are never deserted. The Lord is with us through times of illness and circumstances beyond our control. He is close to us when our hearts are breaking. He waits to be invited to love and care for us.

And what does His closeness—the fact that He is with us and in us—promise?  If we will let Him, He rescues us who have crushed spirits. The Lord doesn’t want us dwelling on loss but rather discovering the healing He has for our hearts.

God is your answer, and He just waits for you to receive His love. Don’t allow your loss to hurt you any longer. Open your heart to the healing grace of God and receive His peace for your breaking heart and crushed spirit. He will take care of the things for which you have had no answers.

Believe

Are you sitting on the edge of what God has promised you? Do you hope for His promise but instead of believing do you live a defeated life—wishing but never receiving? Perhaps you have a fear that when you trust God for what you believe you will not receive His promise. Fear will keep you from believing beyond what you see in the natural to receive what is yours in His supernatural.

“Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see” (Hebrews 11:1, NLT).

Faith assures you that what you place your hope in will actually come to pass, and it is your confidence to believe for what you can’t see. Nothing can keep you from receiving when you choose to believe what God has promised you.

“You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised” (Hebrews 10:36, NIV).

What has God promised you?  It is time to believe and speak life to what God has promised (Proverbs 18:21 & Mark 11:22-24).

“God will make this happen,” Paul wrote, “for he who calls you is faithful” (I Thessalonians 5:24, NLT).

The Holy Spirit bids you believe. Rebuke fear. Walk by faith and not by what you see (2 Corinthians 5:7). Trust God to supply His promise. Waters that try to overflow will not drown you. Fires that try to consume will not burn you (Isaiah 43:2). Your spirit has been fully re-born of His Spirit (John 3:6). Believe for what His Spirit has already imparted and receive your promise.

Revelation of Grace

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.

—Luke 2:11 (KJV)

A child is born, but not just any child. He is a child born to save the world from sin. He is a child born to set us free from condemnation, guilt, and shame. He is a child born to give us His righteousness so we might walk in the newness of life. This child promises a new life while the world continually brings up the old. This child gives joy while the world offers defeat. He imparts what the world can never impart—His gift of perfect peace and rest.

Why do so many believers live defeated lives? After receiving Jesus, they have not received a revelation of the grace He has given them. Without that divine understanding of the gift of His righteousness for their sin, they live with shame—daily reminded by the enemy of the guilt of sin, which is no longer theirs.

“For all who mourn in Israel,” Isaiah promised, “he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the Lord has planted for his own glory” (Isaiah 61:3, NLT).

Instead of mourning over the debt of your past, Jesus gives you a crown of beauty. Instead of ashes from a burned-out life filled with condemnation, He gives you victory. You are no longer in debt to sin. When you understand in the spirit of your mind the new life His righteousness imparts, you live your freedom from guilt and shame. Festive praise rises instead of mourning over what has been. You are a new person in Jesus, and you believe it! In the righteousness He died to give you, you are like a great oak the Lord plants for His glory. You stand firm in Him and unmoved by the lies of the enemy or the world.

This Christmas, determine to believe in the gift of His righteousness. Ask the Holy Spirit to give you a divine revelation of His grace and what it means in your life. Allow Him to teach you your new identity in Jesus. You will experience God’s peace, which will continually guard your heart and mind. His joy will claim you. His purpose will guide you. His power will sustain you. His promise will fill you.

Jesus has given you His righteousness for the ashes of your burned-out life. Believe. You don’t need to wallow in the guilt and shame of condemnation anymore—struggling to pay a debt you do not owe. This Christmas ask for His heavenly revelation of the gift of His life for yours. Seek, and you will find.

Let Him Have You

If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.

—Matthew 16:25 (NLT)

This Christmas what is the most necessary thing in your life? Is there something you hold on to afraid that you will lose, or, perhaps, a relationship you believe is paramount? If you try to hang on to your life, Jesus said, you will lose it. If a relationship or what you possess is more important than your relationship with God, you will lose intimacy with Him. Your understanding of who you are in Christ will fall away. You will lose your life to what you desire instead of having a cherished bond with your Savior.

“Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be,” Jesus also said. What do you treasure? If it is a person, then your longings about that relationship are foremost in your mind. If it is something you want, then the yearning for ownership outweighs anything else. Whatever your treasure becomes the desire of your heart. If you hang on to what you crave instead of what the Lord wishes, you lose the revelation adventure of living in Christ. But if your treasure is your relationship with God in Jesus Christ, then the real desire of your heart is what the Holy Spirit reveals to you.

When you give up your life for His sake, you save it. Giving up your life for Him is all about priorities. Jesus put you first when He died on the Cross for the forgiveness of your sins—your healing—your provision—your total restoration. You were then and still are His number-one priority. Is He yours, or do other relationships or wants or things get in the way? If you hang on to them, you lose. If you give up, you find. These paradoxes are real in Christ. Letting go and allowing God to lead your life, promises intimacy with Him. Putting Christ first will save you from the ultimate bitterness of a self-focused life.

Peace and joy are tangible when you have a divine revelation of how much Jesus treasures you. Your desire to cherish Him springs from your understanding of what He has done for you on Calvary. Learn who He says you are. Know what it means to be His. You are the desire of His heart. He longs to be the desire of yours. Jesus was your gift of Christmas. Let him have you.

Awaken Hearts

To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the Lord has planted for his own glory.

~Isaiah 61:3 (NLT)

There is a lot in this world which can bring mourning. Death. Illness. Prejudice. The list this Christmas is endless. The only answer for peace is Jesus Christ. And that is not a politicized Jesus. Only Jesus, with nothing else attached, will give freedom. Just His Grace, which looks beyond our sin and brokenness and says, “I love you,” will bring healing.

Instead of mourning, Jesus replaces the burned-out ashes of life with a beauty only He gives. He imparts joy-filled blessings that wipe away mourning. He inspires festive praise instead of despair.  Those who know Him have received His righteousness, and they shall have deep roots in His Truth. Because Jesus finished His work in Calvary, the Lord has planted each believer for His glory.

Is this what you experience? Joy in spite of the world’s plague? Peace no matter man’s hurt and bitterness toward his fellow man? You are planted in His Grace, but have you grown in revelation understanding? Until you have grown, your roots will give you little strength. Joy will be elusive. In fact, fear and anger will be your initial responses. Jesus is forgiveness. He forgave the world in spite of their hatred of him. But if someone doesn’t know that truth and hasn’t received His forgiveness, he will experience frustration and bitterness at man’s inhumanity to man.

Christmas is almost here, and we have a broken world desperate for peace and seeking the answer. Man doesn’t have the answer. Only the Grace of Jesus awakens a hardened heart. This Christmas let’s allow His Grace to awaken ours. Let’s receive His forgiveness in depths that we have never before received. This is our freedom to love an angry and hurting world as He has loved us.

“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh” (Ezekiel 36:26, NKJV).

Your Promise is Here

When it was time for their purification offering, Joseph and Mary took the baby, Jesus, to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord. There was a man in Jerusalem named Simeon. He was devout and eagerly waiting for the Messiah to come and rescue Israel. The Holy Spirit was upon Simeon and had revealed to him that he would not die until he had seen the Messiah. The day Mary and Joseph came to present Jesus to the Lord, Simeon was there. He took the child in his arms and praised God.

“Lord, now you are letting your servant depart in peace, according to your word. For my eyes have seen your salvation, which you have prepared before the face of all peoples, a light to bring revelation to the Gentiles and the glory of your people Israel” (Luke 2:30-32, NKJV).

Can you imagine Simeon’s joy? God had fulfilled His promise. Simeon’s eyes had seen the salvation of the Lord. His arms had held the Messiah, the Savior born to bring light to the world. And now Simeon could depart this world in peace.

Have you seen Jesus, the salvation of the world?  He came as a baby and grew to give His life for you. He took your sins to the Cross to set you free from bondage. He was God's one and only Son who came to love you. You don't have to suffer isolation and rejection. You are loved and accepted by God. You don't have to face condemnation any longer. Jesus came to give you a new life. When you receive His love, old things pass away, and all things become new. You are no longer drowning with no hope. Jesus, the light of the world, is now your Savior. You have the guarantee of eternity with Him and the promise of abundant life here on earth.

Perhaps, you have given your life to Christ, but life doesn’t feel too abundant. Times are hard, and circumstances drain you. Just a little peace in your tumultuous world would be welcome. So what is an abundant life? Abundant life is knowing who you are in Christ—possessing His unconditional love for you—trusting He takes care of you—believing that He is victorious in you. Peace comes when you focus on His goodness instead of your problems or dwell on His Truth instead of how you feel. His truth says that He has overcome your world, and, by faith, you overcome when you believe in Him.

Have you, like Simeon, been told you will receive a promise? Then believe it so you can receive it. Trust your God to provide—to heal—to restore—to deliver. Your God supplies all your needs according to His riches in glory. And His provision is boundless. Listen. He speaks right now. Lift your arms and praise Him. Your promise is here.

The Spoken Word

The Lord merely spoke, and the heavens were created. He breathed the word, and all the stars were born. For when he spoke, the world began! It appeared at his command.

—Psalm 33:6,7,9 (NLT)

God merely spoke the heavens into being. The world appeared at the command of His spoken Word. He breathed the Word, and stars were born. God breathed His life into the man he had formed from the earth. The Word is how God created the world. He spoke everything into existence.

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit” (Proverbs 18:21, NKJV). The words that we speak have the power to create. We have the power to create life or death. This verse in Proverbs says that we will eat its fruit. We will benefit from the words that we speak.

“By faith, we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible” (Hebrews 11:3, NKJV). We believe God spoke everything into existence by faith. We didn’t see it, but we believe it. By faith, we believe the Word, and the Word of God says that we have the power of death and life in what we speak.

One morning Jesus gave the disciples a lesson in the power of the spoken word. They passed by a fig tree which Jesus had cursed the previous evening. Peter drew attention to it, and Jesus said, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them” (Mark 11:22-24, NKJV).

“I tell you the truth,” Jesus said to his disciples the evening before his death, “anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works because I am going to be with the Father. You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it” (John 14:12-14, NKJV).

God has given us the power to create with the spoken Word. We ask, believing. We speak what we believe. And when we speak the Word of God to our mountain or over a situation or a sickness, we speak His power—not our own. We don’t create anything. But God, working through us, does create. When we speak His Word, we speak with the same power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead.

“And I have put My words in your mouth. I have covered you with the shadow of My hand, that I may plant the heavens, lay the foundations of the earth, and say to Zion, ‘You are My people’” (Isaiah 51:16, NKJV).

You are His. He has given you His Word and has placed His Words in your mouth. Speak His Word and believe what you speak. The power of life is in your tongue.

What I Believe I Receive

Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me. He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases.

—Psalm 103:2-3 (NLT)

With all I am, I pour out my praise to you, Lord! With my thoughts, I praise you! With my heart, I praise you! With my mouth, I praise you!  Without you, I have nothing. Without you, I am adrift with no anchor. With you, I have everything I believe. With you, I stand strong amidst life’s unexpected turns.

I shall never forget all the good things you do for me! You forgive all my sins and heal all my diseases. Your love on the Cross purchased my forgiveness and my healing. I praise you for these Truths. Your Word is true. I can stand on it. I may not see with my physical eyes that I am forgiven and healed. But I know with my spiritual understanding that I am forgiven of ALL my sins. I know with my spiritual understanding that I am healed of ALL my diseases.

The Word says that I am saved—forgiven and healed. That is all I need to prove this is true. By the wounds you took for me, Jesus, I believe I am forgiven and healed. And what I believe, I receive.

My Child

My child, pay attention to what I say. Listen carefully to my words. Don’t lose sight of them. Let them penetrate deep into your heart, for they bring life to those who find them, and healing to their whole body.

—Proverbs 4:20-22 (NLT)

“My child,” I hear. God has my attention. He is my Abba Father, and He has called me. “Pay attention to my words,” He declares.

Life sometimes keeps me from paying attention. But I realize He has something important to tell me. I need to…

“Listen carefully to my words,” God interrupts my thought. I should listen carefully to what He wishes to tell me. It’s important that I attend to what He has to say. And what He says to me is His Word.

“Don’t lose sight of my words,” He proclaims. Hold on to them!  Don’t lose what I’m about to tell you! My words are essential to your life. “Let them penetrate deep into your heart,” God directs. He desires me to allow His Word to change my heart. He wants me to believe what it reveals to me.

And then God blesses me with a promise from His Word which stirs within my heart and strengthens my belief in His goodness. “My words bring life to those who find them” He imparts, “and healing to their whole body.”  Oh, what joy! When His words encourage my heart and build my faith, they bring life to me! They bring healing to my whole body—spirit, soul, and body.

Here is His Word right before me. I’m on a journey to discover all He has for me.

Expectation and Hope

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

—Hebrews 11:1 (NKJV)

What kind of expectations do you have? Are they positive filled with hope and faith, or are they negative filled with worry and fear? What you expect is what you are looking for. Faith doesn’t spring from negative expectations. It doesn’t thrive from a pessimistic outlook on life. If you have a negative attitude, you have no hope. And without hope, you can’t have faith. Faith is the reality of what you hope for. It is the evidence—the proof—of things not seen.

Your expectations come from how you were raised—from how things have gone in your life or the way they may go in the future—from the information you receive. Expectations are built on what you have been taught about God and His Word. They form your attitude and what you hope for in life, and what you believe. Many don’t realize that your expectations and attitude about life are formidable weapons to receive healing.

If you believe you will always be sick, then that is your negative expectation. You see yourself as a sick person struggling to be well—waiting for symptoms and worrying about the next thing that will happen. If you have a negative attitude and are healed of something, you won’t be healed for very long. Negativity is the atmosphere for sickness to flourish. Pessimism produces unbelief.

Positivity is the breeding ground for optimism and hope. With hope, you expect good things to come. You have a vision of them, and that vision is the reality you have placed in your mind. If you believe that God wants you well, then you see yourself as a healthy person fighting off sickness that comes against you. You don’t dwell on the symptoms. You dwell on the promise of God’s Word that Jesus has already healed you. You are changed in your mind by the Holy Spirit, guiding you into God’s Truth. Healing takes place in your mind and heart long before it takes place in your body.

The disciples concluded that five loaves and two fishes couldn’t feed a multitude. Their conclusion came from their natural experience and became their expectation. Yet, Jesus took those five loaves and two fishes, and with a different expectation and vision, everyone received bread and fish to eat. Faith is the reality of what we hope for. It is the absolute proof of what we don’t see.

“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:13, NKLV). Your attitude and expectations come from somewhere. When you believe, the God of all hope fills you with joy and peace. Your hope stirs and you begin to believe in what others have told you is impossible. You expect and believe that nothing is impossible with God!

Faith Conquers Fear

The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.

—John 10:10 (NLT)

Living in fear will steal, kill, and destroy your trust in God. And that's the enemy's plan. God does not give you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind! Jesus gives you a spiritually rich and rewarding life. When you seek His truth and continually allow it to change the way you think, you discover the abundant and satisfying life He has imparted to you. When you allow His righteousness to claim your thought life, fear of failure—fear of illness—fear of anything fades into the background.

Are you exhausted from lies that run rampant because fear tortures you? Fear not only kills your trust, but it destroys you physically, mentally, and emotionally. Jesus lives in you, and He has given you all you need for a rich and satisfying life. You have to recognize that truth and allow it to transform your thought life. When you surrender your mind to Him, He can destroy fear that claims your mind.

If fear has controlled you for a long time, don’t miraculously and quickly expect to be delivered from its grasp. Continually choosing to believe that you are God’s beloved child and nothing can destroy His finished work will eventually defeat fear. Oh, there will be battles, but don’t give up and allow the enemy to fill your mind with thoughts that steal, kill, and destroy. You choose to stay the course. You decide every day that God is not the author of your fear. You choose to fight the enemy and deny the lies. You take hold of your promise of a rich and satisfying life.

One day you will know in your mind and heart what Jesus has placed in your spirit. God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind! He has taken your defeated sinful life and given you His righteousness and power! One day you will know without a doubt that you are not a slave to fear. You are a child of God, and He is your loving Abba father.

Believe what Jesus has given you. Faith always conquers fear.
