Jesus Proved Me

 

 

Jesus, Jesus, how I love Him!

How He’s proved me o’er and o’er!

Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!

Praise His Grace which loved me more.

 

I can’t prove Jesus is in me.

That is self-righteousness.

Jesus proved Himself in me.

That is His righteousness.

 

My life in Jesus is not about how much I do for Him. What I do will never be enough. My life in Jesus is about how much He loved me and the work He did for me. His work of grace was enough. It is what gives me life. It is what fills me with the desire to offer Him my best. 

Before I knew Him, God loved me. Jesus proved God’s love when He chose to die for me. I received God’s love when I knew I could never be good enough and chose to believe Jesus was good enough for me. 

 

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

—Galatians 2:20 (AKJV)

 

I love Him because He first loved me (1 John 4:19). I can never prove Jesus. Jesus proved me.
