Handled with Care

The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. —Psalm 28:7 NLT
Lord, some days there is not enough of me to go around. There are real needs that require immediate attention—one need is just as necessary as another. And many days I cannot decide which need is the most important to be addressed first. But there is one thing that I definitely know. You, Lord, are the most important aspect of my life—you are the key to my heart. If I keep putting you first, I will find my way through the problems that come. One problem at a time will be solved—one issue at a time will be handled—one decision at a time will be made. Each solution and decision might not feel perfect, but each will be rendered in obedience and with love. They might be found lacking in the opinion of others, but that is all right. They will be done with the very best I can give at this moment in my life.

You are my strength and my greatest encourager. I trust you with not just a portion of my heart, but with all I have to offer. You guide and help me through days that would otherwise destroy me. Because of your unfailing love, my heart is filled with peace and the assurance that what I give is fine for now.  I might feel weak, but feelings are fleeting. You tell me that I am strong no matter how I feel. I choose you, Lord, and I choose your joy. In faith I step forward into another day knowing you handle the concerns of my life with your greatest care—believing that nothing will happen that you cannot and will not solve.
