—John 3:16

If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

These Scriptures reveal what we all have heard and know. This is the gift of Salvation, but have you only looked at the Gift and not the accessories that come with the Gift?

With Salvation comes the Holy Spirit, and with the Holy Spirit comes spiritual Gifts.

“But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all. For one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit to another faith by the same Spirit to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit to another working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of the spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually” (1 Corinthians 12:7-11).

The Gifts of the Holy Spirit are given to the people of the church for the glory of God. It is written in the Word that the Holy Spirit gives these gifts. Why is it that as a church we want to see miracles and healings but don't discuss the development of these gifts? If you are given a gift and you don't access the accessories, then isn't the gift not as good? If as a church we have the gift of Salvation and are not accessing the accessories of the Holy Spirit, then what good are we as a body to do the work of God? How much more would we see the glory of God if we accessed the accessories?

We not only need the Gift of Salvation. We need to tap into the Gifts of the Holy Spirit so we can be the disciples we are made to be.
