Out of His Abundance

 

 

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it shall eat its fruit.

 —Proverbs 18:21

 

Every word we speak or hear spoken produces death or life. Jesus said in Matthew 12:37, “For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” 

 

Many people don’t realize the power of their own words. They speak whatever negative feelings they have or negative things they have been told and don’t realize they are condemning themselves to death with their own words.

 

This is not only true of the words we speak. Every word we hear produces either life or death. Not only must we guard our words. We need to turn away from the words of death others speak.

 

When we fill our minds and hearts with negativity and speak it, we die to our hope, faith, and God’s promises. We give negativity permission to work death in our lives. 

 

Everything we have in life comes from our words. We will eat the fruit of what we speak (Proverbs 18:21). Everything we need is in the Word of God. When we speak God’s Word, our lives begin to agree with it. When our words are His Words, our lives will profoundly change.

 

What does God speak about His Word?

 

My Word is living and powerful (Hebrews 4:12). 

 

My Word will not return to Me without accomplishing My purpose (Isaiah 55:11).

 

I send My Word to heal and deliver you (Psalm 107:20).

 

My Word is My power unto salvation for everyone who believes (Romans 1:16).

 

My Word transforms your spirit (1 Peter 1:23).

 

My Word saves your soul (James 1:21).

 

My nature is available to you by My Word (2 Peter 1:4).

 

Jesus is My Living Word (John 1:1, 14).

 

You can know Me through My Word (John 14:23).

 

I confirm My Word with signs and wonders (Mark 16:20).

 

My Word sanctifies you (John 17:17).

 

My Word sets you free (John 8:31-32).

 

 

God has a Word for whatever you need at this moment. It is His promise to you. Don’t speak from your flesh—from your lack, fear, or problem. Speak His Word. Meditate on His Word day and night and hide it in your heart until it becomes alive in you. 

 

Joy and peace are in the Word. Healing, abundant life, faith, and victory are all in God’s living Word. Once the Word becomes alive in your heart, you will speak it, and your life will change.

 

“For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks” (Matthew 12:34).
