Respond to the Author or Your Faith

God, the Creator, is the Author of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1). God’s creation is the substance and evidence of what God called into existence before it was visible.

Romans 4:17 says that God gives life to the dead and calls those things that do not exist as though they did. Hebrews 1:3 declares that He upholds all things by the power of His Word.

God, the Creator who calls things not seen into existence, has faith in Himself, His Word, His purpose to redeem mankind, and the eternity He has designed. Because God Himself has faith and we are created in His image, God expects faith from us. He expects us to respond through faith to His Grace, His Word, and His promises. God has salvation and its complete assurance for our health and deliverance. He sent Himself—He sent the Word to accomplish His purpose. God wants us to prosper as our souls prosper.

“So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it” (Isaiah 55:11).

This verse is a declaration of His faith.

When we hear God’s Word and faith comes alive in our hearts, we experience new birth. God’s faith is initiated in us. His Word motivates our human heart to believe, His Word prospers in the purpose for which it was sent, and life comes from death.

“For what if some did not believe? Shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect” (Romans 3:3)?

Despite some people’s unbelief, God’s purposes will be accomplished. People who hear and believe God’s Word have the guarantee, security, and assurance that His Word cannot fail.

God has given us all the same measure of faith (Romans 12:3), and that measure of faith is tangible hope and evidence of God’s perfect truth in our lives, no matter what we see or experience.

What does God’s Word say about your health?

Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers” (3 John 2).

What does God’s Word say about your need?

“And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19).

Have you responded in faith to God’s Word? Has your heart believed?

The promises of God begin in a heart that believes.

For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us (2 Corithians.1:20).

Jesus is the Author and the Finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). His Work is accomplished on your behalf. What He births in your heart is finished. Receive what is yours in Christ. Respond to the Author of your faith.
