Have Faith

In one of the villages, Jesus met a man with an advanced case of leprosy. When the man saw Jesus, he bowed with his face to the ground, begging to be healed. “Lord,” he said, “if you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean.” Jesus reached out and touched him. “I am willing,” he said. “Be healed!” And instantly the leprosy disappeared.
—Luke 5:12-13 (NLT)

This leper believed Jesus could heal him. He only asked if Jesus was willing to heal him. What Jesus told this leper, He now speaks to you. Yes, He says, I am willing.

The woman with the issue of blood believed. She didn’t even ask Jesus if He would heal her. She touched the hem of his garment believing.

“Have faith in God,” Jesus said to his disciples. “I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart. I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.”  (Mark 11:22-24)

Don’t doubt! Believe! Have faith and trust in the Savior who was wounded for your transgressions—who was crushed for your sin—who was beaten so you can be whole. By the stripes He took, you are healed. (Isaiah 53:5).

Jesus didn’t just partially give you His life when He died for you. He didn’t only partially heal you when you asked Him into your heart. Just like this leper, He declared you clean. He declared you whole. And yes, He was and is so willing to heal you.

Jesus reaches out to touch you. Reach up and touch the hem of His garment. Believe. Receive.
