We sing, “Hallelujah, the Lamb has overcome!” Do we believe it without any doubt? If we believe Christ has overcome, why do we fear any sickness or financial need or circumstance beyond our control? Christ defeated death, hell, and the grave. He paid with His life for our sin, sickness, and deprivation. And when we believe in Him, all the fullness of God comes to live within us (John 1:16). Paul prayed that believers would understand "what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead" (Ephesians 1:19-20a, NKJV). God has placed Resurrection power within the life of each believer.
This sounds incredible. But do we allow this Truth to renew our mind and build our faith? If we believe that the power of God lives within us, then doubt and fear won’t eat us up. We would tell our mountains to move, and they would move because we have no doubt. We would ask, believing that we had already received, and we would receive what we ask. We would know beyond a shadow of a doubt that to receive you must believe (Mark 11:23-24).
Why would we ever believe that an all-powerful God denies us what His Son purchased for us with His life? Jesus conquered sin and gave us the gift of His righteousness. He defeated sickness and gave us healing (1 Peter 2:24). His perfect work supplied all that we would ever need to live in His peace and joy. We lack nothing. Yet, sometimes we live beneath what cost Him everything.
Praise Him for what He has already given you! Your righteousness! Your healing! Your supply! Your blessings! Jesus came to destroy the works of the enemy. And those works of the enemy that He has overcome are the enemy’s plans to destroy you. Allow the Word to transform your understanding of what Jesus has given you until you believe without a doubt that He has overcome those evil plans of sin, sickness, and poverty. Believe in the power God gave you to defeat the lies of the enemy. God “will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ” (Philippians 4:19, NLT). And there is no abundance like the love of Jesus when you believe.
"I tell you the truth," Jesus said, "Anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works because I am going to be with the Father” (John 14:12, NLT). Speak to your mountain of sickness—to your overwhelming circumstance—to your financial struggle. You have faith inside of you that can move mountains (Matthew 17:20). You can resist the enemy, and he flees from you (James 4:7). You have not been given a spirit of fear but of power and love and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). You are more than a conqueror through Him who loved you with His life (Romans 8:37).
Christ has overcome. He has overcome for you. Do you believe it?
