Never Ends

The faithful love of the Lord never ends!  His mercies never cease.

—Lamentations 3:22 (NLT)

The faithful love of God never ends. His mercies—not just one mercy—never cease. God is always merciful and forgiving. “And I am convinced,” Paul wrote, “that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:38-39, NLT).

You can erect a wall with a selfish attitude, but God understands the brokenness which fuels it. You can erect a wall because sin has claimed you, but He forgives when you repent. You can erect a wall from a wounded heart, but God loves you with the wounds He took for you. You can erect a wall because of feelings of unworthiness, but you cannot escape what He has done for you on Calvary. That promise is finished. It is completed. It is constant. His love and mercies never end.

You need not be hurt and angry. You need not be broken. You need not be wounded. The wounded healer’s mercies last forever. Lay down everything that you have erected on His mercy seat, and receive His faithful love with nothing to hinder it. Come and receive that love which you felt was beyond your reach. It never ends.
