Clueless No More

The Lord is gracious and righteous;

our God is full of compassion.

The Lord protects the unwary;

when I was brought low, he saved me.

Return to your rest, my soul,

for the Lord has been good to you.

For you, Lord, have delivered me from death,

my eyes from tears,

my feet from stumbling,

that I may walk before the Lord

in the land of the living.

Return to your rest, my soul! Mind, you have nothing to worry about! 

 

God has delivered me from death—my eyes from tears and my feet from stumbling! He is my Savior, Protector, and Healer! Full of compassion and righteousness and graciousness, Jesus has claimed me as His own. He loves me.

 

When life brought me low, Jesus saved me. When I was careless, He rescued me from stupidity, Oh, the mistakes I made! But He saw value in me that I never saw in myself. His love swept me off my feet! He has been so good to me!

 

I will never forget how “the cords of death entangled me, the anguish of the grave came over me; I was overcome by distress and sorrow. Then I called on the name of the Lord: ‘Lord, save me’” (Psalm 116:3-4, NIV)! And He did!

 

Each day my mind returns to rest in Him. Each day I choose His peace over worry and fear of things that are out my control. I will not allow my mind to question—to be clueless or careless again! I trust the Savior who raised me from death!

 

“I love the Lord, for he heard my voice; he heard my cry for mercy” (Psalm 116:1, NIV)! I walk in His incredible grace in the land of the living. I live with Him now, and I will live with Him for eternity!
