Your Refuge

If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home.

—Psalm 91:9-10 (NLT)

The Lord is your refuge and your place of safety. No plague or disease or illness will come near your home. He is the Most-High God and your shield—your sanctuary of healing. No evil will overpower you.

Jesus Christ is your Passover Lamb. The blood He shed covers and protects you from all evil. Your body is the home—the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit. He lives in you, teaching and reminding you of what Jesus has done for you. The Holy Spirit directs you from anything that tries to harm you. He reveals the lies the enemy slings at you and empowers you to rebuke them. Not one weapon that rises against you has the power to destroy you.

“Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him” (Psalm 91:1-2, NLT).

Do you abide in His grace and find rest in Him? Don’t be anxious. Don’t live in fear. Give Jesus credit for what He has done for you on Calvary. Surrender to His strength. Verbally declare that He alone is your place of safety. Trust the Holy Spirit to guide and guard your life. Believe that no evil can come near you or overcome you. Have faith in the finished work of Jesus! The love of Jesus that died for you is not just a story. It is God’s promise of abundant life now and forever with Him.

Praise Him! His grace—His mercy lasts to all generations!
