The one who formed you says,
“Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you.
I have called you by name; you are mine.
When you go through deep waters,
I will be with you.
When you go through rivers of difficulty,
you will not drown.
When you walk through the fire of oppression,
you will not be burned up;
the flames will not consume you.”
—Isaiah 43:1b-2 (NLT)
I want to humbly pray from the strength you have purchased for me, Lord—not from the frailty of who I was before I knew you. I praise you for your promises. You created me, and then in your unconditional love on the Cross you saved me. I am not alone, and I am never forsaken. I am yours.
“Listen to me,” you speak, “I formed your life. I breathed my life into your lungs. Never be afraid. I ransomed you with my life. You are my redeemed. You are free from the storms of this life.”
There are many storms, Lord but you overcome them all. You call me by name. You speak peace to my mind. You speak grace to my heart and healing to my body. Whatever I go through, you are not only with me. Your Spirit lives in me giving me the power to speak victory over defeat and life over death.
Lord, I will exercise what you have given me. I will believe that no weapon that comes against me will prosper. I have received your Word in the depths of my soul. You have sent your Word and healed me completely. The deep waters of this wayward world will not drown me. Disease and pestilence and the unbelievable consequences of injustice will not overcome me. You have risen, and I have your new life.
The world is oppressive, Lord. When I walk through its fire, I will not be burned and consumed by what happens around me. You paid the highest price so that I might live. I am overwhelmed by your love for me. Cleansing and flowing and empowering without hindrance, it continually deafens the voice of the enemy and gives me the faith to believe—to trust you.
I am convinced that there is nothing in this world that can separate me from your love. Nothing above or here or below ever will. Nothing in all creation has the power to separate me from your love which died for me.

“I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:13, NLT).
